Default 2002 rattle!

Sounds like something moving when it should'nt be! As if it's coming from passenger side seat area (door side) or just behind it (roof well).

Marc, is it a rattle or a knocking noise? I sometimes get a knocking noise from the passenger side area, and it come from where the seat belt lock slides down the belt and knocks the plastic behind the door. Have you tried this?

Had a rattle that sounded like it was coming from that area after an alarm install - they'd not tightened the spare wheel fastener fully - why it didn't sound like it was coming from over my right shoulder I don't know - HTH

The belts rattle quite a bit. Try engaging the passenger belt rather than letting it swing free.

I always get a rattle/knocking from the passenger seat belt buckle. Tucking the buckle tab into the seat belt guide on the top of the seat solves the rattle but leaves it handy for passengers (and doesnt look odd).

I hope this fixes it for you!

Why didn't I think of that?

A lot of noises are generated too, if either of the seats are pushed right back to the point where they're actually touching the rear bulhead. Careful adjustment of the rake angle of the seats usually cures any problems. They tend to be squeaky noises rather than rattles though.

I've got an annoying buzz coming from some trim somewhere in the passenger footwell. It happens when accelerating / deccelerating through about 5500rpm... Driving me nuts.

It's not the door panel - had all that off. Any suggestions ?

Matt.
