You can do a search on this and find out a lot. The pic is of my car at the Midlands meet in March.

Basic changes for the 04 were:

new wheels
new style front and rear bumpers
slightly revised geometry and suspension settings
heated wing mirrors
some extra storage space in cabin and some slight cosmetic changes
updated dash to include a clock
probably several other things I've forgotten.

Honda also tweaked the synchros in the gearbox to make it even more slick than before, and made further minor changes to the setup of the suspension to tackle accusations of being a bit "tail happy".

Allegedly it drives a lot better than previous models due to the suspension tweaks.

They made it more cluttered, tacky and softer for the girls and softer ppl to drive. also dealer available max power tat can be added.

I'm not a fan at all of those new rear clusters.

They look all wrong compared to the tidy ones in the original model, with the fog lamp living between the exhausts.

The new ones certainly loook more modern, but I just prefer the simpler look of the originals. The new colours are also horrid, and I'm not keen on the interior bits either.

Without putting words in his mouth, I suspect Ade is firmly of the "original is best" school and that any chance from the original spec is a bad one. That's a bit blinkered IMHO. It's very much a matter of opinion - the best thing you can do is test drive an 03 or earlier as well as the 04 so you can compare and contrast for yourself.

I'm not aware of any change to the gear ratios in the 04. It certainly doesn't feel any different in that regard to the 02 which I had beforehand.
