Default 2009 engine ?

hi i am looking for a new engine for my s2k (see overheating thread ) i have sourced a 2009 engine with 8000 miles on it but are these one of the last engines that people are having problems with ?

Errr yes.

Are you going to have DBW problems with a new engine? Not sure.

so its not a good idea then, dont want to have another blown engine in a few months

Did your old car have it? i.e. did you have a wire for the throttle or a motor?

Didn't another member do this a while ago and have all sorts of issues .

Have you paid for this engine ?

If not I would look out for an 04/05 one.

with the drive by wire i could just fit my inlet manifold surely that would fix that problem ?
its more is the 2009 engine one to stay away from ?

Yup just fit your inlet manifold with the wire for the accelerator!
