Default 313 miles on one tank!

Excuse the frightfully boring nature of this topic if you please

However, the traffic on my bank holiday jaunt to West Cornwall was so bad that I managed an incredulous 313 miles on 48 litres of Optimax.

Has any one got more?

Oh and the fuel gauge is just pants in the lower regions.

You're a braver man than me, Rudester!

Whenever I get anywhere near 240-250 miles, regardless of what the fuel gauge is telling me, I'm thinking it's time to stop at the next Shell fuel emporium offering that automotive nectar of the gods, Optimax.

My bravery/stupidity was more down to the fact that I couldnt finder Super unleaded let alone Optimax.

I always treat the fuel guage with a pinch of salt, Hondas seem to be terribly pesimistic.

Congratulations!
Never managed more than 260 myself - is there something wrong with my car?

Blimey - I tend to fill up a bit extra-early these days for my Top Trumps.
Still no Ferrari or Noble, though ...

I have done 309.5 so well done. You have a record in my books.

I thought the car had 47 litres,

Sam.

I thought it had 50. I put 46.7 in in France at one fill up. This after driving about 50km with 0 bars on the fuel gauge.

Filled up yesterday. 39 litres for 308 miles, of mostly cruising. I'm recovering from a knee op right now, so the fact the S2000 cruises so well with few gearchanges, and gets good economy when you feel like it is great. That my car can still do that given it's modified quite a bit is nice to.

I think my best is around 340-350, last winter with the hardtop on, just cruising again.

Then again, I've also done ~120 miles on a full tank.

I was managing to get over 300 miles from a tank full on my daily commute during the petrol crisis. Then again my worst consumption was about 12 mpg at Bedford Autodrome
