Hey Al2!

Fill in the location stuff on your log in so that we can find out which area you are from.

IIRC the 04/54 model has a different alarm fob with (gasp) a separate button for remote boot open. You don't know how much us two buttoners envy you three buttoners!!!!!

Damn you!

Which apparently doesn't work anyway!

IIRC 04s come with a factory fit alarm which automatically detects whether the roof is down or not

My 04 import has the factory alarm, and the boot works fine. It is opened 2-3 times daily with the key fob whilst locked and unlocked. Never had a problem.

Does honda now provide an OEM alarm on the 04?

In the past Honda shipped the cars with an OEM immobiliser and then UK Honda dealers would install a POS alarm prior to collection.

If you get an 04 UK spec import you get everything you get on the uk car except the locking wheel nuts, the extra 30K on the warrenty and the AA cover (as long as it is EU supplied). My supplying dealer fitted the honda locking nuts foc.

I'm pretty sure it does. It arms off the standard OEM 3 button key fob.

Yep the alram on the 04 is an intergrated Honda one and not fitted by the dealer

here's a pic of the fob you may or may not be able to see the buttons
all the boot release issues were fixed, i've certainly never had a problem
