Default 6 year service and it feels different!

Just picked the S2000 up following the 6 year major service (or 54k whichever is sooner), also specified a change in gear oil, diff fluids, as well as the specified stuff which included valve clearances, new spark plugs and air filter

It may be the placebo effect but it feels a LOT quicker and smoother :-?

Current mileage is 49k so she's being treated for xmas!

Am I imagining it or could those changes actually make a noticable difference?

Forgot to say, I provided the oil and plugs and total cost (with HR discount) came to

I did that already on mine so there was very little slack, I'm wondering if valve clearances & plugs have helped

I know it was prev healthy so just a bit surprised to feel a little different. I asked whether any of the clearances needed adjusting and only 3 were adjusted

Yep - John Banks

They gave it a valet and total price was bartered to be a good one, only downside they cleaned the red engine rocker cover with something to remove grease and they've made it hazy

I have been out cleaning to get the engine bay back to former glory, other than that OK

Anyhow - The garage have let me down somewhat, I went to clean up calipers and remove wheels this morning.... NO BLOODY LOCKNUT KEY, phoned them up and they have no-one in the mechanic dept to ask until Tuesday and it wasn't anywhere obvious, how annoying!

They asked me to pop in on Tuesday - I got a little angry I have requested they find the key and deliver it direct to my house as why should I travel the 32 mile round trip for their fault.

Never plain sailing is it

I used 10W 40 semi Mobil S which is what it has been on since new Hasn't even used 1L for top ups in 7k miles so must be working.

Due to the age of mine I got the 54k service (6 years) even though it's only got 49k, but for you it won't need be a major service at 46k (5 year)
