Default Aaargh !!!

Went into the garage this morning, turned the key, pushed the button and just got a clicking sound, dead battery. The cars been in there since Friday, which surely isn't long enough to drain the battery.

Then faced the problem of getting the car out of the garage with no power steering and then had to suss out the strange point to attach the negative lead, read the manual to understand, to jump start the car. Drove the long way to work and then what happened at half 5, yes you guessed it, flat again.

Put the battery on charge tonight, just hope it doesn't happen tommorrow.

There's been an outbreak of this recently. There is possibly a batch of duff batteries out there, rather than a specific alarm/electical fault with your car.

Check threads for more details.

I've had this problem.
Looks like duff battery syndrome strikes again
The dealer will replace under warranty, just keep the AA man away from your car

Well the battery's dead and of course the dealer doesn't have one in stock so I'm without a ride until some time tommorrow.
