We had a great day.

Thanks to the S2000 team who were such good company. Good driving.

Thanks to Motor Sport Events who really do a good job of organising these day and making it all good humoured and only serious when it has to be.

There were 7 s2ks there, plus RichUK in his Accord. There were also numerous other fast vehicles. Porsches, several Elises, TVRs, Caterhams, Westfields and numerous others including a Ford Fiesta.

The only parts of the day where the cars can be compared is on the track session and in the Driving Challenge.

In the Driving Challenge there is a short course where you do a slalom, twist, dead stop, U-turn, slalom, hairpin, straight and have to come to dead stop between some cones(!). Every car gets timed throught this course. At the end of the day the three best times get a mention. The very best time gets a prize (free track tuition).

So what kind of car dominated this part of the day? What kind of car filled the top three places, beating lighter more specialised cars? Yep, all S2000s. What a result.

Congratulations to maddog for winning it.

Here are some pics: (sorry about the quality, these are from my phone)

The final S2000 roll call was IIRC:

Ade
davemac2
dereckbuck (Del)
maddog (Dave)
Patches (Patrick)
rahula
RichUK
Ron

..and I don't want any of you guys mentioning the c*** word.

Fantastic day, well recommended by all I think!

Thanks to Ade for highlighting day. The final race was great fun and anyone not wishing to waste a couple of mil of tread will miss out on a great 15 minutes.

As Rich said motorsport events are looking at setting up an advanced course (thanks to Rahul was it?) so more losing it on corners in the near future! New tyres here we come.

Dave, Mr 29.11, I hope you felt ill last night following the 1lb 4 burgers in one roll + cheese, oh and no overtaking under a yellow flag, or on corners, or in braking sections, etc!

Ade, there weren't that many but he just had to pick up a couple of c***s but his smile still went from ear to ear. Mind you losing them after picking them up was a bit awkward!

Rahul, the pimpmeister, get those pics and vids up soon!

Maddog, along with Dave (even with the mega buger inside!) you proved that red is indeed the fastest colour but Ade was the one who walked away with the c***s!

Patches, shame you got put with the mixed bunch, could have done with an MCB that could actually drive!

Was it Radron? Glad you found second gear!

Rich was giving it his best in the Accord which certainly gave as good as it got, especially on the cornering.

All in all a great day with loads of spinning, under control honest! Look forward to next time guys.

Del.
