HI HAPPY S2000 FANS!
i m getting my baby next saturday and would like to change the radio and speakers system (MY00 without CD charger but the RDS on the radio ). i m in london E14. do you know any place where i can get a good new system (single CD player or MD player) with some good speakers (with good bass) and installed by professionals? or i do it myself, is it hard??? anyway, my budget for the whole thing would be 3-4k

Congrats on your imminent arrival!

I'm assuming you mean three to four hundred pounds (as opposed to 3 to 4 k!)

I had a Nakamichi CD35z and Focal speakers installed by 001 Mobile in Redhill and am extremely happy with the setup. I would not say that it has a huge amount of bass - you'd probably need a sub-woofer for that, but I recommend an audition.

One thing to bear in mind is that I have lost my dash controls - but it's not a big issue for me!

Other guys here use Apline kit, with is available with an interface module, connecting the dash controls to the head unit. I'll leave it to them to give you part numbers etc.

I am one of the Alpine clan, see my sig for the speakers I have upgraded to - huge improvement!
Head unit is next I think, will be alpine with the interface so that I can keep the dash controls
