Default Stereo Upgrade advice

After reading a multitude of posts bemoaning the poor OEM stereo I'm after some advice on replacing it.

First off, does anyone know a decent ICE specialist in or near SW London?

Second, what's a decent system? I've had a look at the Lucid site for the rear speakers. Do they make a huge difference or am I better off just upgrading the unit and speakers?

Finally I'm not an ICE specialist so some advice on a radio with 6 disk changer that all works with the dash-mounted controls would be great.

Thanks all,

Robster

I installed rear speakers at the weekend and yes they do make a big difference especially with the hood down.

Have a look at Alpine kit - they do an interface for the dash controls.

Did you do it yourself or get someone to sort it out for you?

I installed all of the kit myself following instructions from Lucid's web site. It is not difficult and doesn't take long.
