It seems it doesn't take much to set the alarm off if I leave the roof down. Just walking past the car in the garage has set it off a couple of times, and it's gone off twice today within minutes of parking.

Do I need to disable the ultrasonics when leaving it parked with the roof down. IIRC I need to press the raised button a second time within 3 seconds of arming the system.

Yep, I've got a double garage so I'm bloody well going to use it!

If its in the garage it could be spiders or other crawlies activating it!
