Alarm or remote problem?
Hi all
I have a year 2000 S2k. My original remotes fell apart after 6 years and Honda supplied new ones. However after 4 years, the news ones (of a slightly different design) have BOTH started to work only intermittently. By that I mean I sometimes have to press the button 10 times or so to get it to work. Eventually it does. I don't think it's the battery (voltage seems OK).
Does anyone have any ideas? I imagine Honda will just say to change the whole alarm, which seems their default response to any fault (as an aside I had a brake pad that was stuck on and they tried to talk me into replacing the clutch which was "slipping").
