Default Alloy craft aem ems mount

Hi, before i buy one is their any reason why the alloy craft ems mount with usb extension will not fit a uk car? as they are designed for USA left hand drive?

And has any one bought one from the guy selling them on ebay from america? it says import duties are included in the price?

OEM ECU location is universal. Mount will work.

I actually wrote a lot more than that but my poxy phone decided not to post it!

Hopefully I'll get time I'll take some pictures tonight of the differences and post them up. I should be making up a bracket for the bracket this weekend!

If you look at the fiche on Lings for LHD & RHD the mounts are different with the LHD having the connectors at the bottom whereas the RHD are at the front.

Cheers,

Jez

Not sure about this, I contacted alloycraft the latter part of last year to enquire about this and they said it was no issue. I will see if i can find the email trail.

Ok 3 pics, the 1st is the mount as if it was going to be attached as per the pics in ebay etc with the connector pointing down, as you can see (hopefully) the mounting points on the body are closer together that the ems mount. It would also be really close to the heater body so I'm not sure you'd actually be able to connect your USB or serial cables to it.

The 2nd shows the standard ecu as it would be normally mounted with the rubber mount at the top and the connector being at the front

[attachment=95385:IMG_0689.JPG]

The 3rd shows the bracket up against the standard ecu to show the difference in mounting points.

The mounting points are actually the same distance from the top to bottom removing the rubber mount on the ECU, but there is no mounting point on the body, although you may be able to drill the holder that the rubber mount goes in and bolt it there?
