No idea, i suspect the honda VSA is more sophisticated, but my inquiries let me to believe installing that one on a 2005 model was a no go so i opted for the next best thing.

I've spun a car with traction control in similar conditions.
Turns out cutting the power to both wheels when you are fishtailing is not always a great move

It depends how the power is shut off, gradually or instantly.

Older ESP / VSA systems were awful, the new ones are very good and gradually brake individual wheels etc.

The Honda VSA system is excellent, not driven with it in the S, but I have in an Accord.

There is no excuse for the S not to have it as standard. I actually chose not to have it on my S because I was too damn impatient to wait 3 months for my car.

Your right foot is great as a traction control device, but certainly not as good as a VSA device.

VSA is a huge help in very wet and icey conditions. It is also very good at helping in sudden loss of traction situations such as oil (which seems to happen in the vast majority of S2000 off's ).

I do find it weird that people think they are all amazing drivers that can live without VSA systems. I can't think of many cars that come without a system like this... only TVR and Caterham.

These systems help is to drive quicker and safer - what's wrong with that?
