Default Alpine and modifry

Does anyone on here have the Alpine 9850r HU (Ipod fast link) and the modifry adapter.
Is it the Wired or IR one that is required?

I don't but I would be very surprised if you could not use the wired DCI - has the HU got a 3.5mm jack on the back? I wired up my DCI last weekend (including the speed cable) and it works like a dream
