Mine turned up this morning and after a bit of fiddling, they are on, nice and tight

Good idea, I was wondering if the arm that you showed it on is the arm that causes the damage?

Mine is a late 07 and no signs of rubbing yet.

mine is 2001 and is wearing badly... ive gone with the cloth / duct tape idea works fine and got some patches to put on teh inside of the roof this weekend so its nice and secure

Well my car had a nice new Mohair roof just before I got it so theres no sign of wear on mine.....but it's getting a set of these just in case
