Another Alloy question, offsets etc
I've tried searching, lots of conflicting opinions.
The alloys im looking at come in...
17x7.5 or 17x8
5x114.3 PCD 45 ET
Will they fit ok?

My Rays TE37's are:
Front - 7.5 x 17 +48
Rear - 8.5 x 17 +50
114.3
They dont rub at all and look
Dont really understand offsets, but was told these were correct.

So the bigger the offset, the bigger the gap between the centre line and the mounting face. (assuming +ive offset)
so a bigger number offset, means the wheel will sit *in* the arch further.
So my 8j's .. with a 42mm offset will stick out 4" - 42mm from the hub face.
J33LUS's Rear - 8.5 x 17 +50, means it'll stick out 4.25" - 50mm.
Assuming 1 inch = 25.4 millimeters
J33LUS's fronts stick out ~47mm from the Hub.
J33LUS's rears stick out ~58mm from the Hub.
My fronts & rears stock out ~60mm from the Hub.

According to my Offset Calculator, those offsets would be ok, just..
Front - Suspension Clearance will be 10mm more, Outside edge of the wheel will extend 10mm more.
Rear - Suspension Clearance will be 14mm more, Outside edge of the wheel will extend 26mm more.
So Rear is a little risky, but do-able I think.
What wheels are they? Perhaps someone else has them already?

Again, I shall point out that the wheels should be aligned to that centre line, not the wheelarch and deviation away from the stock setting should be minimised in order to minimise instability on bumpy roads, especially under braking, steering kickback etc.
But many people put appearance before anything else, so it probably doesn't matter.
