Default Another engine thread :(

Tiger Two's S has been the paragon of reliability in the 4 years she's owned it, track days European tours and general hoons as well as day to day stuff.

Sadly a couple of weeks ago it was taken one step too far.

A driver training day at Milbrook, which as you know involved hard cornering, and general chuck the car around stuff.

on the way home (6 miles from home to be exact) the bottom end started rattling by the time the car was pulled over and stopped the damage was done.
The oil level was ok before the day started but was around the minimum level when checked afterwards (although it was tough to take a reading at the time so it may have been lower)

The bottom end has been checked and is realistically beyond hope so the best option is to source another one.

Does anyone know of any for sale or the best place to look?

Bad luck, Harsh!

I've not had such oil loss, but surge is probably what did mine, TBH.

I got one from Douglas Valley Breakers, if that helps.

Nah just kidding

As above, Rob at Garage R is a good friend of mine, and he's an S2000 specialist, and IMO the best in the country. I wouldn't trust anyone else to work on my car, and his prices make Honda look like bank robbers.

Give him a call

Yep my MY99 engine has developed quite a thirst for castrol edge at 125,000 miles

Still sounds just as sexual on cam with the top down.
