Default Another hifi question

Sorry to keep asking hifi questions here, but this question only applies to the UK models.

I've given up on the FM modulator route of connecting my MP3 Jukebox and am going to bite the bullet and buy a new headunit. I'm going to go for an Alpine unit as this seems to be a popular choice as well as being easily able to retain the dash controls.

I've done what research I can and have it narrowed down to 2 models. The CDA-7893R (approx

The differences between the 7893 and 7894 (from memory) are -
Wireless remote control
Multi-colour illumination (permanent blue & green) 7893 is selectable green/amber.
Blackout, a button To "clean up the sound".
3 x 4 volt pre outs, 7893 has 4 volt sub out only.
Silver Facia.
The 7894 has the DC-DC converter (although I think this is only used if you connect up to the RCA's)

I had the same choice and bought the 7893. Couldn'y see the sense in spending the extra (and I bought an adapter for dashboard remote).

You lost me on this bit Liam

Thanks for the reply. I prefer the silver/blue of the 94 as well, but I'm not sure that justifies the extra

Just to keep anyone informed who's interested:

I emailed Alpine yesterday to see if they could enlighten me any further.

I am looking at upgrading the standard head unit in my car, and have
