Default Another MOT, Another Service :)

My V plate (Feb 2000) S2000 has just breezed through another MOT and service today with 98k on the clock.

For the abuse this car takes, the reliability is nothing short of amazing.

5 and half years into ownership and bushes aside, I have yet to spend any money on this car apart from basic servicing and consumables. The hood, although still working perfectly, is starting to look a bit raggy in places but nothing severe enough to make me actually change it yet.

Best and most reliable car I've ever owned, and

Just picked my car up from Lloyds.

Another good job and a great price. This is how it works out.

108k service (big service)

I provided spark plugs and Amsoil 10W30 oil.

They charged me to use their insurance for a courtesy car. I could have used mine if I could be arsed!

Dunno about 90k. Will have to check.

Saw you about 2 months ago at the Ouston roundabout. I was in the Accord Type R and didn't relaise it was you till you were away towards Chester le Street

I made a decision not to take mine to a dealers anymore but I too will be having this service and am concerned about the Valve clearances being done by an independent...

Shall I just take it to the Dealer or are the valve clearances a simple enough job for a non Honda mechanic to do?

No, it was a mint 2 owner car from on here. Slightly high mileage - 60k on a 4 yr car, but 50k had been done in the first 3 years and was pretty much all motorway mileage.
