Default Another Oil question

Tomorrow am taking my MY00 for an oil change at the local Honda dealer. I asked the mechanic (who claims he is well trained on the S2000) what kind of oil they use. He recons that the best for the S is the HONDA Oil. It is a 5-40 oil and am not sure if it

the word can and worms comes to mind

Manual recommends 10w30

Not available in the uk so dealers use 5w40 or 10w40

Majority of people use either Mobil1 or Shell Helix Ultra (Grey bottle) or other premium brand oils

I use Redline 10w30 imported from the USA as do some others

There are millions of posts and opinions on oil

I live in Malta where the temperature is very hot. So opting for 5-40 is good. But what about the Honda Oil ?

I'm not

A lot of dealers USE Shell, but my dad got a bottle of "Honda" oil from his dealer. It said the Words "Honda" and "Oil" on it.

No, I'm not either. The only Shell Helix Ultra I've seen isn't 10W-30.
