Default Another returning to the fold

So after about a year or two without an S2000 I've come back again.

Last one was sold as I had not long bought my Noble and needed to recover some funds so moved to a 325ci e46. Then went to an S3 when the BMW started drinking coolant. Sold the S3 as it wasn't very practical and wasn't very fun - tried to be both but failed at either sadly. Then I went to the dark side and got a 3.0 Z4. Hated it the moment I got it and after seeing an S2000 on ebay threw a cheeky bid in for it. To my surprise I was then off to pick it up a couple of weekends ago.

It's a 2004 with 110k but apparently an '06 engine with 50k on it fitted (I've been shown emails regarding the work but he's lost the actual paperwork with exact mileages written down). Needs tidying and a dodgy idle sorting but otherwise pretty chuffed with my first facelift S2k It's my third S2000 now and will be filling daily driver duties whilst I save the Noble for weather which doesn't have road salt out in force

And my old S2000's for good measure;

My first:

And my second:

And just incase anyone's interested I think there's a thread on here from when I first bought the car (pre selling the second S2000) but this is my toy which relegates the S2000 to daily driving:

Anyway look forward to getting involved again and just thought I'd throw up a quick post to (re)introduce myself

Welcome back!

Liking the Nob... same wheels as on my mate's one. Which M12 is it? 2.5? 3.0? 3R?

Cheers guys does seem to be a trend of people returning to an S after exploring elsewhere - and with good reason. Personally a little shocked how much I didn't warm to the Z4 but cest la vie - just need to peddle it on once I've done a few minor jobs on it.

Noble's a M12 GTO3 so has the 3.0 engine. Been playing with various bits over winter and the plan is to remap it at some point, not chasing numbers but a bit more urgency couldn't hurt things (comparing to the 500bhp R32 GTR I had before the Noble here, didn't drive anywhere near as well but was quicker). Went in a remapped 2.5 not long after buying mine and was seriously impressed by how it drove.

Ah ok, cool. I know you can get them up to stupid figures.

My mate has got a 3R and I swear that thing defies physics with how quick it is. Sooo impressive. And his (AFAIK) is completely standard.

Bet it gets lots of attention, especially in that colour!

LovelyS2k but that Noble is gorgeous. Completely random question, but we're you at Cars & Coffee in Rhos on Sea last year in September/October? There was a gent there with an identical yellow Noble M12.

Yep the M12 is a very capable car, the grip it has and the feedback it gives is like nothing else I've ever driven. Certainly does get attention, took some getting used to - first run out ended up at a pub and awkwardly had to walk through a group of people to get back to the car.

Afraid that wasn't me at that particular C&C meet. Although given I think there's 6 or so yellow Nobles had a 1 in 6 chance or so

Drove it up to the Scottish Highlands in Dec which was quite something - wanted to drive it to the alps this summer but think time off work might present an issue as it's all very busy currently.

Funny how people with real supercars still feel the need for an S2000.

Good luck with it.
