Unhappy Another wheel question sorry..

Sorry folks but it has been doing my head in trying to find a decent set of wheels with the correct fitment . i finaly have but the only thing is the set in particular are an 8x18 now is it a necesity (*sp) to have them in a staggerd fitment as all they come in is the one width.

The other option is to have a 225 tyre at the back and a 215 at the front but i was told the the tyre size will be too small for the front and throw the handeling off?

If i was to go with 225's all round and 8x18's all round what affect will this have?

Many Thanks

That isn't a decent set of wheels, then!

18s at the front will look silly, because of the very low nose.

(PS - it's from latin necesse, pronounced nek-esse; remember that, you'll never have to worry about spelling it again!)

It sounds like you need to learn a LOT more about suspension design, before you start buggering around with what the professionals have designed:

blah blah blah

18's look good if they're the right set. beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I personally think 16's look crap, but thats just my personal opinion. I respect the argument that they were chosen by the people who designed the car for optimum performance/handling and thus know far more about it than us lot..

As for handling, ive got 18x8's with 225 all round (previous owner did this, not me). As soon as theyre due for a change i'll stagger the widths with 245rear 215/225 front.

As for the spin me right round comments, depends how you drive and if you push the car further than your ability can take it (im talking about on the road, not on a track). If you're spinning, regardless of wheel/tyre setup, your driving is at fault too. I can kick the back out if i want, but i havent come close to spinning yet - not that i want to. (wait for my post tomorrow about how i stacked it on the way home now )

Oh, or there's s2000 specific diesel on the road...

let the flames begin.

I ran 18x7.5 with 225/35/18 all around on a et42 offset.

Car handled fine and was predictable on the limit too. 35 profile provides razor sharp steering due to the lack of sidewall flex.
