Default Any problem leaving the S standing for a while

I cant drive it due shoulder sugery so its just sitting there with a roof cover on outside , it will continue to sit for another 5 week.

It has been standing for a week so far, im debating to give it my father but i think he's scared of driving it for some reason! (he has a bloody remapped 335d! ) - idea was to get him to use it once a week.

Any problems with leaving it standing for another month or so?, other than the obvious battery issue?

Also, my battery doesnt seem to last long if standing maybe 2/3 days then i have to get the leads out, its only 2 1/2 years and is a banner make, i dont have any ICE really either. - i cant put my finger on it a crap battery?

Cheers

Yep leave the handbrake off and put it in gear, wont roll off the drive and wont feck your discs.

Also, if you haven't had your bolts greased they are likely to seize

Chock the wheels if you're not happy leaving it without the handbrake.

Start it up every three weeks and let it warm up properly.

Try and roll it back a few inches every cople of weeks to stop the tyres flatspotting (although you should be ok for 6 weeks.)

yup... handbrakes off...

some ppl says that it's not good for the tyres if it's sationary for too long, but i wouldn't say 5 weeks is significant..

also for the battery, if you take it for a longer drive, it would proabably store more charge and you can leave it for longer intervals....
when i did not use my car, it lasted only 3 days, but after my roadtrip to cornwall, it lasted more than a week.....

if your car was in a garage, i would have recommended you to get a battery conditioner...

Dont bother starting it to let it idle to warm up.

You will do more harm than good.
