Default anyone changed the gear ratios in their UK s2000? comments?

I saw on honda tech a while ago a guy offering a different sized gear wheel for the honda s2000, this shortened the change between 1st and 2nd alot more so. has anyone tried this in the UK? does it put more strain on the gear box.....
