You guys did very well on price with the hard top. I had mine fitted at the start of this year - ordered through UK dealership - total cost including fitting was over

Welcome to the board.. only half of us are mad! If you click on my S2000 at the top of the page you can edit your profile. If you enter details of your VIN No. you will be shown as an owner under your signature rather than an enthusiast and you will be able to upload personal pics to you own photo album on the site and publish them within threads.
The answer to most queries is here somewhere. Use the search fuction and you'll find loads of threads on anything you may want to know. If you can't find what you're looking for sing out!
Enjoy the board.

The instructions from the HandA website are superb, the extra kit for the 2000MY adds a bit of complexity but its still DIYable IMO!
The fitting of the loom, striker plates and catcher plates isn't hard if you have some basic skills and patience (and all the tools!) the art is in getting the top perfectly alligned on the car (I found I either had wind noise or squeaks) and it took a couple of adjustments and road tests until it was "perfect".
Seriously though, the electrical side is practicaly foolproof, all you need is a bit of patience on the job and a handy helper to physically put the roof on the car with you.
From the labour charge Jonathan paid I would have the dealer do the work, that way you can get it sorted out to your hearts content if they screw up!
Have you checked with the dealer that your 2000 model falls in the range of VINs that need the kit? Not all US 2000s needed it, just the first 5700 or so...
