Default Anyone using RE050A's 17 or 18inch size?

From what I recall on the ol' tyre discussion thread, 16's were RE050A's and 17's were RE050 (no A). Just been looking into 17 and 18 inch options and noticed they exist as RE050A's.

I've not had the joy of summer use on SO2's, but I put RE050A's on the 16's that are on the car just after buying it and found them to grip superbly after about 700 miles of running in.

If anyone's running them, what you think?
I'm looking at 225/45/17 & 255/40/17 and possibly 225/40/18 and 255/35/18

The 'A' signifies asymmetric, which I would recommend, it apparently gives better grip in the wet, something essential for the S right now!

Summer S02 were lovely, the RE050A to be fair werent too far behind them!

sorry should have said, I know what the A means, but thanks

Just interested to see if anyone went for the A version over the non A and how they are - I didn't realise they existed in A format until today lol

I've used S02's before on another car a few years back and they were an awesome tyre in the dry for sure. I suspect they caught a fair few people out in the wet though!

Just been told the 255/40/17 is only available in a runflat

but, they do SO2's in that size! I thought they were long gone!

I use RE050A on mine.

215/45/17 front
225/45/17 rear

Very happy with them, great grip wet and dry. Great response due to stiff sidewalls.

Miles better than the soggy T1Rs as fitted before
