Don't feel too bad - a bit of provocation always makes for good debate as long as they aren't offensive.

Did you remove the smoking thread or was it censored ?

 

did that thread degenerate?.........

I guess the title was a bit full on but I am a passionate person....

 

Too much pc nonce-'sense' about these days. We are all adults after all and able to choose what we see and read. I for one find ANY word in the language non offensive. They just serve to enrich the reading experience. I think those that are offended are the amusing ones. But those that are unable to professionally manage their tempers need some help. As soon as arguments occur I pretty much know the battles have been won and the game is over.

 

I am just very direct.........was at Sainsbury's on Monday.........2 guys from out the back (subsequentky proven to be on trolley duty).....came sauntering down the aisle....pushed past me...leaned over and one guy flicked the ear of the bloke on the check out...while the other said 'Mummy's boy'....

I gave one of them evils as they made their way out.....anyways I get to my car...load up and as I return the trolley I recognise them....they recognise me...

I won't post what happened next.......but I won't be leaving the S2000 there for a while

 

I think it was moved to the Dumpster.

 

So Z. Which mod got heavy pray tell? I could run a book like last time to find out. They normally own up quite quickly. Or was it a site owner that smoked? Come on spread the juice. It is a public forum after all..

 

Colin, please do us all a favour and stop trying to stir things up, OK?

A complaint was received about the thread. Ian PMed Paul about it and moved it to the Dumpster. End of story.

In all seriousness....and I really mean this....it would be useful for me and anyone else to understand exactly why the post was resigned to the dumpster?

1) Was it the number of in the post?

2) Was it the content of the initial post?

(incidentally I was not having a go at people who smoke perse....but the smokers who throw their butt ends out of the car instead of using the ashtray.....just as people who throw sweet wrappers out of the window....it's not the smoking as such but people not showing respect to the environment or other people

3) Did the post degenerate subsequently....I do not have internet access at home so post 3.00pm I have no idea how the thread went?

This is not designed to stir but to help me understand why someone would complain about the post?.....
