I posted about a week ago with regards to a misfire my s2000 ap1 picked up.

after having it code read it came up with misfiring on 1,2,3 and 4 and a generic manufacturer code.

We tried a new coilpack but this didnt sort anything, after checking the plugs ( NGK Irridiums ) they all seemed fine and a lovely brown colour.. not white or black.

Any suggestions before i cry ? only had the car a few months and hate sounding like i drive a subaru...

And the sounds it is making are? Please provide another fully detailed description of the problem, symptoms, and what you have done to date. Include how and when it appears, disappears, when it's cold, hot, or all the time, rev range, speed, gears being used, etc., etc...

 

just to add, under 3k is where it misfires, so stop start traffic.. after 3k it pulls brilliant.

Has been doing it for over 3 weeks.

EML comes on, occasionally flashes.. mainly just stays on.

Started just doing it when the car was warm, not it does it from start up to.

 

Can you give more of a description please? I'd like to try and help, but you haven't really given that much info in this thread.

Maybe one or more coil packs has failed?

 

we took coilpacks off while car running, only 1 unplugged made a difference, so we changed that coilpack, still the same ;(

 

could possibly be injectors ?
