Default ASM bonnet

Hi all,

Does anyone know where I could get one of these from the UK at all? A replica one would be ok but it would have to be a good fit.

Cheers

That looks like an OEM-style carbon fibre bonnet. Plenty of people here do them. Tegiwa do one, as well as Seibon.

Don't know of anywhere in the UK but I can recommend Injection Imports in the Traders section.

Is that specificly the style of bonnet you want? Dream Kev is selling a genuine CF Mugen bonnet for not a lot more than the price of a rep.Ive seen it, it's like new and you know for sure it going to fit.

I've got a Mugen bonnet on mine and the quality is faultless.

Yeah I saw that in the for sale section but I'm not really a fan of the vents. I'd much prefer the standard look but don't want to go cutting my bonnet up

There is an implication above that Seibon and Tegiwa offerings may be comparable to ASM products.

They are not - Let me just clear that up.

ASM produce very high quality products and their carbon fibre parts are no exception. They are light weight, often dry carbon and are exceptionally well engineered. You get precisely what you pay for.

I'm am also not saying there's anything wrong with people choosing to spend less on parts and choose one manufacturer over another, but I feel it's important to understand why one costs significantly more than another. There are plenty of subjective threads on s2ki as a whole indicating the differences.
