Default Mugen, ARC, ASM

Hi all
I am looking at inductions on the following, which would you suggest?

ARC Super Induction Box & Intake Chamber

Mugen Intake System

ASM Ram Air Carbon Intake Kit

I have been told you have to cut the hood on the mugen one is this correct?

is it really worth spending

Not sure on the bonnet cutting, but they all cost a fair wack! Where are you planning on purchasing them from?

I would just get a AEM or K&N. But if you do have the money, they do look the part.

That is correct. It looks like you would also need to cut the bonnet for the ASM one.

Cutting the bonnet isn't too difficult with a Dreme and a cutting disc.

The J's CAI also needs a bonnet cut but this is the best designed intake IMO.

Yes you do have to cut a square out of the inner bonnet skin for the Mugen CAI, where it climbs over the radiator (see my pic with the bonnet open, a small section cut out and lined with rubber sheet). I came across a thread on here a while ago where someone describes the process, have a trawl through the search facility. It does look like the AMS kit might also require a bit of cutting there as well?

Have to say though, as with any CAI on the S, do not expect any noticeable gains apart from the VTEC noise!

I'm less than convinced about the ARC box. They make nice knobs though

Looks like it draws air in from the worst place. If you want on ethere was one going on ebay a little while ago and was relisted several times.

Mugen but

I like the ASM, but they are all serious $$ for very little power gain...you're 1/4 the way there for a supercharger!!!
