Default Audio upgrade

I am looking into upgrading my speakers first then the head unit later.

I don't understand amp etc at all so don't understand power output either.

Help needed

Also how do I know what head units will still work with the dash controls?

Thanks

loads in the Faq on this , you can replace the speakers with 6.5" ones in the doors - easy enough to do - most headunits can use the in dash controlls - though most dont bother with it.. its not like the head unit is hard to get to !

you can also add rear speakers - if your a bit handy, have you replaced the head unit already ?

If you intend on using somthing like a Modify DCI (Dash control interface) all headunits from major manufactures will work.

Your chice in speackers will depend on what you listen to and how much you like music, whether it be loud, or if you have a good ear to the clarity of the music.

Very wide choice pehaps easiy narrowed by how much you wish to spend

The Alpine Head units are very good, and their speakers are good too, depending which ones you get. They have different ranges for different budgets.

For really good sound you will need an amplifier, which means the power output of the head unit isn't that important. However, if you can't be bothered with that, then getting the best head unit you can afford is a good idea. If you do decide to add an amplifier later, a good head unit will mean better sound.

Here's all the Alpine units http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/index.php?...a3824f2ee0e952c
