LOL, we were lucky with Sasha, she crapped once in the kitchen on a tiled floor, the rest was in the cats litter tray (I kid you not), remember this is a German Shepherd Dog

The only noticable difference I've seen between OEM & PP's is that the PP's are much quieter and the ride is slightly softer (but you can add more air ).

I'd possibly be tempted to go for slightly wider rears, but at 245 they're not bad.

I didn't really want to comment on the dry weather handling until I'd had the S2000 with PP's on the airfield. Sadly it's looking like this might be next season now

Personally all I can say is that since changing S02 -> S02PP's all round I've had no twitches or moments whereas I had a large number before <grabs lots of wood>. To me it was worth getting the new tyres - well the others were rather illegal - and I would be reluctant to change back.

IMO the OEM's, while designed for the S2000, are designed for the S2000 in all markets. I have a sneaking feeling that the UK may actually be wetter than California or Tokyo

Steve, the term is asymmetric. In Pirelli-speak, asimmetrico sounds much better!

This is a car that demands heel and toe changes for smoothness and safety. Also, think of the poor clutch plate if you're downshifting around 6K!

I have to say, my car is remarkably stable in VTEC in the wet. Perhaps it's because I'm expecting it to bite, so I'm over cautious. Then again, perhaps not.

The only time the rear's snapped is pushing too hard round roundabouts, when roll oversteer causes rear wheel steering. So far, It's been deliberate, but lightning fast when its happens.

Arse out at 70 in a straight line does sound scary! I wonder if all our cars have the correct static toe-in at the rear?

Evening Andy!
So how do the S02's and the PP's compare pricewise? Any idea?

I take your point about being designed for all climates... that may be true.

Evening CT (aka Muppet Mum ).... how's tricks? Things OK in Abber?

I think you'll probably find that the PP's are slightly cheaper than the OEM's

My dealer came in the cheapest for the OEM However, I still got the PP's cheaper. At 245/16's they're not going to be cheap

I seem to remember that that I paid

Thanks for the info Andy. I'm in no rush for tyres... yet so I've got time think about it.

Aberystwyth is the same God awful place it's always been..and.. it's in Wales!

The father in law got taken ill there whilst on holiday( No consideration). Still we're O.K. now he came out on Saturday and his case is being transferred to Hereford where he lives, but as an out patient. Kidding aside, the best part f the run is the 24 miles of twisties on the A44 between Aberystwyth and some place I can never remember the name of. It's a beautiful run in with huge hills rising steeply on one side and a nasty drop on the other in places.

Bit of a jaunt both ways in a day though and going on Sundays we'd always catch the weekenders coming back!

I was giving one of my mates a spin in the car, cold tyres, (pretty cold altogether actually!!), thought i would domo the power of Vtec, a bit too much power exiting a 2nd gear corner and then lost the back end to a horrendous tank slapper!!! To say we were shi**ing ourselves....anyway managed to sort it all out and when we got back to the office i looked almost as pale as him...i'm Indian!!
Lesson learned methinks.....
