Default battery charger

so where's the sensible money spent on battery chargers/conditioners?

im in need of one reguardless, but im also having a few battery issues on my S..

budget is £30-50 area.
i'd prefer one with an ammeter on it

I use a Ctek XS800.

Work well on both the S and the bikes

CTEK chargers were available at Costco last time I checked, however if you can wait until Aldi do there next lot of car maintenance products you can buy the same thing (just not badged as CTEK) for around £14. Exactly the same moulding, graphcs, features etc.

i got a ctek one too, nice and small with a stupidly long lead on it which i useful.

I bought an Optimate 4 originally for the car which seems to function well circa £45.

Then noticed late last year the Aldi one mentioned above for the bike thinking £14 wouldn't be too much risk and it too seems to do the job.

Neither have a meter though.

Second for the Optimate 4. Very clever piece of kit and can rescue very sick batteries. Works on cars and bikes

I use the ctek (xs3600) charger too. quite convenient that they provide an adapter that you could leave it permanently attached to the battery terminal

Optimate stuff is good and reliable, another vote from me.

(I like the beemer idea too - theres a dedicated live post in the engine bay to connect it to, so you dont have to root about near the battery)
