Default Battery dead

I have been away of holiday for three weeks and obviously haven't used the car in that time.

Went to use it last night and the battery seems dead, lots of clicking coming from the dash when I tried to start up.

Should I have dis-connected the battery for that lentgh of time without any use?

All help greatfully received, really need a spin this evening.

You can get trickle chargers for long periods of no use.

It does sound like the battery, get it jump started and go for a nice long drive to charge it up

jump start sounds good, the long drive even better after three whole weeks without it

I had this recently on my MY00.

Beware of jump starting - manual doesnt advise it. Mine started after a long charge and then died again.

Strongly advise just getting a new one from Honda. About

PS - there's an indicator on the top of the battery. Mine said it was good when it was clearly shot.

Same thing happened to me. I was advised to de-activate the alarm sensors in the future as this apparently causes a huge drain on the battery!!

you lock the car using the remote, then once the indicators have stopped flashing press the lock button again. also handy for preventing the alarms going off constantly if you are leaving the car with the roof down (i only ever do this when the car is in sight!!!!).
