Was interested in your plans Steven - you've been keeping these cams a bit hush
Cams, valve springs and new retainers were installed a few months back and should work with the Mugen ECU and increased fuel pressure to give a bit of extra power and more torque.

Don't have any more plans at the moment ......

Replacement radiator is probably next on my list of things to upgrade.

(Also waiting for a BBK for the rears)

Have you dismissed S/C? Ive long pondered N/A over FI and the gain you get for little outlay is hard to compete with. Id love a well setup N/A car like you're going for but the amount of bits / fitting and cost says no to me

Are you dyno'ing it after mods? Interested how you're going to set fuel pressure. It does seem easier in a way, because the S uses fuel pressure at open loop (from what I can gather) and just holds injectors open. So not the fiddling of a normal setup!

Steven do you know if this fuel pressure mod is applicable to other after market ECU's like spoons/ J's ??

Mark, did you consider the option of HKS F-con s or Vpro when mapping. Ran F-con S on my K20a and made good gains. I/H/E and ecu made 29bhp. I know that power is easier to extract from that engine but people in UK seem not to like the HKS, when in Asia its one of the most widely used systems.

Im a bit fussy, Lucky! I just dont like any hassle.

Im used to the Subaru stuff that remaps the existing ECU, so you dont have any issus with losing OBD functions, immobilisers etc...

The F-Con is a piggyback, so doesn't offer much more than the Unichip I currently have. The F-Con Pro is standalone so introduces the above problems, and is very expensive to fit and map. TDi quoted around 3k from memory

Not heard of the S, could you give anymore info on issues you had?

I am afraid I don't know.

The pressure fuel pressure I am running at is specific to the Tada Cams and Mugen ECU.

Ful pressure increase is through a SARD Fuel Pressure Regulator. Picture of this below but I had to change this a bit as I busted the pressure guage when I did the 1st Lotus day and this has now been replaced with a SARD guage.

...and here are the cams

Steven, how is that hooked up out of interest? It looks similar to a S/C setup where a new FPR sits downstream of the old one, on the fuel return line to the tank?

This just replaces the OEM FPR that is bolted onto the fuel rail.

The fuel pipe is re-routed under the intake manifold and plugs into the bottom of the FPR.

Mark the Fcon s is a similar thing to unichip. A lot of the CTR lads have had issues with the unichip on the K20 so i went the HKS route cause at the time it was the only other mappable Ecu. Control over fuelling and ignition timing but no vtec adjustment. Worked well though, think for the S2000 it is about
