Bike Rack for S2000
Hi guys, just purchased an S2000 and still got a grin on my face Just a shame about the weather
It is my day to day car and I'm hoping to be able to fit a bike rack on the back. I've had a look at one or 2 older topics and it seems there are varying opinions as to a) which one to use and b) if its even a good idea.
There has been mention of not puting anything on the rear hatch and instead mounting a towbar to attach a rack to.
I'm not too keen and attaching a towbar so was wondering if anyone else has had experience of putting a bike rack on the back of an S2000?

I'm using the Saris Bones for 2 bikes. It works well, but the bumper isn't really stiff enough to hold it, so next I'm going to try putting hte bottom legs on the vertical part of the boot. The rack is great, but I'd go for the 3 bike version, as it has two upper legs rather than just the one.

Cool thanks Chris, let me know how you get on trying the alternate position.
I presume then it hasn't marked your paint. I read other threads where people had complained about racks marking the car. I would have thought as long as you're careful it should be fine

I use a Hollywood rack. Its quite old now, don't know if its still made. I like it cos is sits agains the number plate so doesn't mark the paint. I don't like to put too much weight on it though, just one bike.

Cool thanks GavB. I'm thinking of getting a Saris Bones RS. It Attaches to the rear of the boot lid so should be ok. Might see if I can find a bike shop to try and fit it first. Then get it online cheaper
