This one doesn't work for me - they insist on leaving a tool in my engine bay!

So here's my 2p:

Remove both seats and sit on the floor instead. If you're not tall enough to see over the steering wheel then you can use an upturned lightweight plastic storage box to give you required height.

Get rid of all excess bodily fluids before getting in the car!

Remove all interior plastic trim and cover wires etc with a bit of masking tape - or insulating tape if you want to do a really neat job!!!

I know its meant to be bizarre sugestions but a semi serious one..........

Have you felt the weight of the jack and spare wheel?

Really heavy! An aluminium wheel and jack a la Boxster would save some serious weight. I suspect as much or more than messing with the exhaust?

Just a thought.

I expect there's a few grams in the tyre pressure & other associated stickers - tyre valves caps not strictly required. Removing the windscreen tape should result in a performance gain

Remove the plastic ashtray component from the cup holder.
Also, discard the cover from the power socket.

Wash the car - this not only reduces weight but air friction as well.
