Default Bizarre Weight Saving Suggestions

There seems a lot of wild 'n' wonderful suggestions for getting the weight down and the power-to-weight ratio up of the S2000, so there's gotta be a fun thread here!

I'll start it off with one for the guys:

Circumcision - should save a few grammes...

you've already posted my first choice - a really big 'elimination' as the US guys coyly name it

Remove those heavy clunky alloys and run a set of 2CV rims with OEM 115mm rubber - less aero drag and rolling resistance too!

Cut your fingernails and toenails ... and those of your passenger.
Blow your noses, go to the toilet. Take any change/sweets/tissues out of your pockets.

Remove the airbox cover, don't keep the oil topped up.
Take out any CDs you don't often play.

Remove toolkit and padding from the boot.
Discard all caps, including oil and petrol.

I remember in the early '90's Nigel Mansell shaved off his moustach, when quizzed on the reason why, he cited weight saving/increased aero efficiency as the prime reasons

Just read it

OK. back on topic, here's my bizarre weight saving tips.....

Blow your nose (but remember to discard the tissue outside the car, otherwise you just transfer the weight elsewhere)

Replace the headlamp glass with clingfilm

Use WD-40 as your engine oil (on the basis that thinner = lighter)

Replace the seat belt with fishing line

Wipe your feet before getting into the car (or better still, don't wear shoes... but still wipe your feet)

Spit out of the window as often as you can

Pete
