Unhappy BMW M Z4 ?

Well i was going along the M27 the other day heading in to portsmouth in my beater. i was in the out side lane over taking a few cars when i notice a pair of HID's coming up very fast. he was probably doing well over 110 and had to break for me. so i pulled in to the middle once there was a space to let this guy go past, as he started to go i saw a ///M badge on his car with the Z4 after it

i have never seen or heard they where doing an M of the Z4.

it sounded amazing and very raspy and he quickly pulled away and disappeared.

so was this guy just a POS that nicked a ///M badge of a 3 series and stuck it on his car or was he really driving a MZ4 ???

The former, i suspect. There's no official M version of the Z4 as yet.

it looked like this

but with an ///M infront of the Z4 bit and it had another set of tail pipes on the other side of the rear bumper.

it was also black and had a UK plate on it.

the guy was driving it like a loony

That'll be one seriously fast car when it comes out.

thats it but of course the one i saw had a GB plate

it pulled away from me so quickly, by the time i was at 80 he was well past 110 again. he was top down and i was stunned at the speed.
the driver was a middle aged, smartly dressed man.

It's not beyond the realms of possibility that the guy's just chucked in an M3 lump and exhaust you know. Probably the more likely scenario. Just seems like an awful waste of money rather than just buy an M roadster.

Which ever way you look at it - Z4s are as common as Boxters now - and not worth having!
