Default boot auto release

I'm finding sometimes my boot will open with a second press of the remote key fob, but others it doesn't. Any ideas? Doors and alarm always work fine.

Thanks

I think you may have damaged it attempting to "do the deed" on the boot

Do you think the wiring could be frayed but not actually snapped through as per this DIY https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/946...ake-light-fix/

This is normal behaviour for one of the older cars.

This will not work the first time after the car has been driven! Once stationary, and the boot has been opened on the key, it will work every time.

not sure I quite understand that..

I know for instance, I've left the office at lunch unlocked the car and opened the boot remotely and it's opened. Next day I've had to use the Key.

Some morning's I come out of the house and the boot will open with the fob, other mornings it won't.

It's temperamental, and they all do it. Nothing to worry about.

No, it won't open all the way, that's to do with the boot springs.
