Ah yes the old H and P 'will it/won't it' second press game, I remember it well!

Good times

I've got an 02', I haven't been able to get the boot to pop with a double press - is it something that not all cars were fitted with?

I'd like to be able to open the boot without the key for scratches sake

As far as I am aware all cars have remote boot opening however Honda UK in their wisdom fitted POS aftermarket alarms to all of the 99-2003 cars imported from Japan that made the boot opening a bit of a lottery and they charged their customers an extra £500 for the privilege.

If you had sourced your UK spec S2000 from a European dealer, like many did at the time as there were big savings to be made, you would never ever have a problem opening your boot with the keyfob

MY02 is the same. The 3 second to double press is fallacy. However mine seems to work more often then not

Got it working! And it works every time. The car must be locked, then I unlock, and after about 1-2 seconds unlock again and the boot pops. So pleased
