You never know, that's the problem

How the hell did you find out he posted on a website?

Next thing I see him posting on a website saying he trounced an Evo.

Hmmm.

I also got beaten in an STi by someone in a 200SX, when my clutch was shot.

And by someone in some twisties, when I had brand spanking new (slippy) tyres.

I've punished other big stuff and twigged that they either didn't care, or were still running the engine in...

granted, in this case however it was my close friend and we chatted about it afterwards, both pretty suprised

That's a decent test then

An older Boxster doesn;t have too good a PTW ratio so it wouldn't surprise me.

I had a little play with an old boss of mine (not sexually) in the 2.7 one and I couldn't quite get past, but was pinned to the back of his and gaining a little bit.

Aj, it was a bit by chance. I suspected it would have been posted and looked on a local car forum Of course, I posted my side of the deal but nobody believed it

You cant push too much power with those little starlets without spending a hell of alot and changing the turbo etc etc, i know as i was looking at getting one in my yaris tsport days.

Good article Ron
Penned by yourself I guess
My name at the bottom

I read an article they had about stroking an engine and it was just b0llocks.

So I got all keyboard warrior and wrote that message in one hit, spell checked and sent

The only annoying thing was that 2 months later they were offering a free track day for letter of the month

Soooo, Boxsters being driven by limp wristed posers......

I think a Cayman S is faster (and a probably lot easier to drive if it's got the FREDs) on a track.

I suspect the aerodynamics are better too, so it's at higher speeds it has the advantage.

But the early Boxster S was something of a 'catch up with the S2000' exercise. The 2.5s felt gutless.

yeah, speed doesn't bother me like that hence why i bought an s2000 - due to the rewarding drive i just found it quite interesting as i had been out in his porsche and was convinced it was quite abit quicker. Obviously it was those low down "torques" the car is lovely however, can't quite justify the 60% increase in cost over the same age s2000 though. On another note though, crikey it smokes on start up - due to the engine design i now gather, but i wouldn't be happy with it, looks bloody awful

IKWYM; I was sort of saving for a Boxster when Honda announced teh S2000!

The rest is ancient history...

987 is still a very decent car, nonetheless.

I have driven a Boxter S and obviously an S2000... and the S2000 is a far more exciting drive... it felt like the S was considerably quicker than the boxter!

Still a nice car though
