Default Brake Disks

I remember chatting to someone recently who recommended a decent website to get some blueprint brake disks but can't remember who. I've used the search but its not coming up with anything.

Can anyone recommend some decent OEM quality disks or give me a website that I can get some bluerpints from?

TIA

Brakes International supply Bremtech discs. I'll leave it up to you to determine if they are OEM quality or not, but paired with DS2500 and ATE Super Blue fluid they have survived and performed impecabbly around the Nordschleife and the Nurburgring GP track.

I am using straight slot grooved disks from brake depot at the moment. They are cheap, circa £140 delivered for a car set. Non-grooved ones are even cheaper. I took them to get fitted at TGM and Tom was impressed with the quality and asked me what I paid for them, when I told him he said it's cheaper than he pays trade for standard disks so I left him a card from the packaging and he said he may start offering them to customers. So far I have essentially done a track day with them and probably 2000 road miles, there is no warping on them and they look good.

These pagid discs are about as good a standard disc as you will find anywhere.

I loved this article on brake discs, especially the "Prevention" section: http://www.stoptech.com/technical-su...nd-other-myths

I was thinking about getting my fronts skimmed as I have a very slight bit of extra "grab" part way round the rotation at slow speeds, but at the prices for those BI Bremtechs I think that's what I'll be doing instead.

You're most welcome.

I have used them for years, mainly for previous cars and family members cars.

I even have a set of their discs and pad for daily driving my S. I have zero complaints, and the discs and pads are more than capable of taking fast road punishment, including a 500+ mile trip around Wales which included some quick driving and hard brake us. Never once did I suffer fade, or feel uneasy with the brakes. I do admit that they stank after some stretches and I was a little concerned one might have been on fire at a certain point (after 6+hours on the road with mainly vtec driving) but no real issues.

They do dust considerably but for the price you have change left to buy some wheel cleaner
