Morning all,

Whilst working on my car yesterday getting it ready for an upcoming trackday i noticed a potential issue with one of the brake pipe hardlines.

My passenger side brake line where it passes through the inner wing isn't central with the hole and has worn the rubber/plastic grommet away. This now means that without replacing the grommet it has the potential to rub through the metal brake line overtime. Im not sure why it isn't sitting central and i will have a look at it later to see if i can figure out why it doesn't pass through correctly.

In the meantime i have order some new grommets to replace the old one with something abit beefier and will glue it in place.

Its worth keeping an eye out for this problem when your next under the car.

Mine were like that too although maybe not quite so tight over, I just bent the pipes so that they are now central to the holes and twisted the grommets in the hole so the worn part's facing the other way.

The grommet was pretty much breaking off when i touched it. Theres also quite alot of movement on the pipe side to side i guess as its quite far from the ABS unit. I think i will use a new grommet and slip abit of hose over the pipe where it goes through to add abit more protection.
