Just had my S through its MOT this morning and when i was under the car with the guy doing it he gave me a little tip to prolong the life of your brake pipes that dont have any plastic covering...

Cover them with grease!!

He said they can last the life of the car!!!!

Are there any brake pipes on the S that aren't already coated or plated?

Yup if you can get under the car you'll see em, theres the main pipes that run the lenght of the car, they covered with a plastic stone guard with lots of slots in. so u can get grease on them and under the arches at the rear...
