Brakes

They aren't as durable but are better at cooling, better in the wet and lighter
basically, if you can afford them they are better, the downside is the cost of more regular replacement.

interesting views guys.
Went into the dealership. They charge about £280 per axle to replace discs and pads with genuine parts. Gulp! The back plates or dust plates as Honda call them are £53 each. Think I'll keep mine and just wire brush them to get rid of the rust.
Whilst I'm at I'm going to re-spray the calipers as the paint is flaking. Going to shot blast them then repaint. Do I need an undercoat? Can any gloss car paint do for top coat?

If you're painting calipers you'll need some kind of heat resistant paint, Personally i used some satin black Engine block emanel. bakes on with heat so you know it'll stay there and it's nice and low key
Also, That pad change quote from Honda is OUTRAGEOUS!! i realise it's all genuine parts, but when you can get the bits online for at most half of that and do them on a sunday morning it seems a bit steep, or maybe i'm just a tight arse?
