Default Brands noise limits

I'm going to be taking the car out at brands soon but I'm concerned about the drive by volume.

I have a k&n typhoon and exhaust mod. Has anyone been to brands with a similar/same setup?

What's the limit for the day you are doing?

Brands is normally 107 static and 97 drive by, so you should be fine.

My old Rallye was pretty noisey, with CDA induction and exhaust, and that was always ok. Typically around 91-92db static, and never tripped any trackside meters

I'd say you'll be fine. I did my first trackday with my new J's exhaust last week and was worried about failing the noise test. Strangely, it's slightly quieter than the hks I had before although it seems a lot louder in the car. I tested 88Db at 6k static test. driveby seemed very reasonable too even with the K&N intake & zorst.

If you mean modded OEM exhaust you will be fine at Brands, and pretty much any circuit in the UK apart from perhaps Thruxton which is 88dB static.

Brands is normally 102dB static and 92dB @ 20m for track days which is really very loud. My car with a K&N FIPK and Blue Flame exhaust for comparison was about 89dB static.
