Default Buggered rood release handle?

Morning all

One of my heavy handed chums seems to have knackered my passenger side roof release handle. Its been a bit stiff recently (calm down CC) and the missus has complained that its not easy to use (ahem), but a mate let it snap into place with a fairly loud noise and its not happy.

When I shut the roof yesterday, it sounds like something inside the locking mechanism is about to break as it makes a god awful crunching noise when you close it. Has anyone else heard of this one?

I've booked the car into the garage on Monday but am paranoid about opening the roof, the catch breaking and me being left with a no-longer waterproof roof seal before they can look at it.

Cheers

Ben

Oh nuts - of course the thread title should read "roof".

Too early. Sorry
