Default Burning

After driving hard I can always smell burning. It's from the rear and like rubber.

Is this my new found ability in the car? or is it a more likely my brakes are fecked? Oh my brakes both front and rear get really hot so much so that if it rains i get steam when i stop. Its only been doing this about 2 weeks now.

Any advice, help etc..

thanks

The rear of my car smells a bit like "warm rubber" when I park it up after having driven it hard. I'm not sure if this is because the rear tyres get a bit warm by themselves or if its because they are quite near the exhaust cans. (I got underneath the car to have a look the first couple of times I noticed this because I wondered if the 245 width tyres were "rubbing" - but there doesn't seem to be anything seriously wrong).

Nothing to worry about IMO

if its after fast driving and the wheels are hot to the touch, then it is probably just the hot brake smell that you get when the pads get hot. mine always does this after a spirited drive and my alloys get too hot to comfortably touch. the smell can get worse as the pads wear as there is less material to absorb the heat.
